Rebuilding Mount Vernon Triangle

Meet and end at the Historical Society of Washington, D.C., 801 K Street, NW (south side entrance)
This is a not-to-miss tour of the small neighborhood just north of Chinatown. Discover the emerging Mount Vernon Triangle neighborhood and hear about the history of this once forgotten area, including its rebirth with new retails, offices, and high-rise condos. This tour will include a walk past the remaining historic buildings, discussion about the social and economic forces that lead to its decline as well as its current revitalization. You will also have a chance to visit one of the new apartment buildings.
