As excited as I am for onigri, it’s really the beer that has me the most impatient for Kushi to finally open. The last few years has really seen DC mature as a beer town and Kushi is going to be offering a unique selection of beers that you can’t even find at places like Brickskellar/RFD or Churchkey.

I’m going to go on record saying Kushi is going to be way better than the much more hyped Buddha Bar. Buddha is going to rely on prestige. From everything I’ve read about Kushi they are focusing on authenticity.

Well, as far as I’m concerned, prestige and authenticity are both welcome to our neighborhood. The more the merrier of both, especially to cover the remaining, awful, ugly, undeveloped parking lots. NO MORE PARKING LOTS….even only temporary ones.
