César Varela wants you to “drink wine, get a little drunk and learn something,” now this is a wine class I can get behind. César is the Wine Director and Sommelier at Tel’Veh Café & Wine Bar which will start hosting a once monthly wine class starting November 13th 7-9pm for $45.
César’s belief is the same as mine “Wine should be drank and enjoyed.” The 90 minute class will cover the basics of wine from guided taste tests of grape varietals, hands on experience for matching the subtle aromas found in wine, differentiation of old world and new world wines, wine label reading & ordering, cork vs. screw caps and much more.
What else is on offer:
- Oyster Classes the first Wednesdays, starting November 6th 7-9pm for $45
- $29.95 Bottomless Brunch Saturday and Sunday
- ½ price bottles of wine Sunday and Monday (what a great way to get over your Monday blues)
- Live Jazz music on Thursday’s, featuring performers from across the region
