Last August Jonathan O’Connell reported that Tesla Motors had signed a lease for a showroom with the office building at 1050 K Street NW. The buildout would appear to be approaching completion as the sign and lettering on the doors are present and some roadsters can be seen inside. Please excuse the glare in the photos.
Below is a little bonus coverage I found while researching… Apparently Tesla had an event at the National Building Museum in December 2009 to launch their 2011 S Series.
According to cnet, “The Model S, which can go 0 mph to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds, has an electronically limited speed of 130 mph and can be recharged from any 120V, 208V, or 240V outlet. The car will be offered with a range of 160, 230, or 300 miles per charge, depending on which battery the buyer chooses.”
