T-Mobile closed

Many have you noticed that the T-Mobile at City Vista has closed and sent a FYI to the blog’s email address. I have heard the full backstory but didn’t fully absorb it. Something about the area developer for T-Mobile declaring bankruptcy and that in turn impacting the franchisee?

It’s probably for the best. I expect that Edens & Avant will find a more inspiring tenant for that 1500 SF retail bay. Certain food uses will not be permitted due to the exclusions agreement Safeway has in their lease – so don’t expect a bakery, GNC or coffee shop, etc… but something interesting will materialize.

Seems like the ‘ol nail salon idea should be revived. It seems like a good spot (in terms of size, at least).

i never once saw anyone in this store except for the lonely salesperson. Let’s hope something better comes along. I think a small news shop with newspapers/magazines from around the world would be cool.

I was kind of hoping for a Peruvian-Korean fusion small plates restaurant. LOL. Seriously, a newsstand would be a great addition.

It was a T-Mobile Limited store which is a franchise store and for some reasons has less phones and services than a regular store. I went in once to find out about pre-paid plans and they didn’t offer them whereas a normal T-Mobile store does.
