The chefs of Kushi engaged in some up close and personal sessions with two local blogs. Executive chef and owner Darren Lee Norris participated in the popular “Five Bites” feature on Metrocurean. The Capital Chefs columnists at We Love DC focused on Chef Yonemoto who leads the team behind the robata counter. In the two part posting we are first introduced to Chef Yonemoto and his chicken breast with sour plum skewers. The second posting outlined an attempt to emulate the Washoku chef’s Japanese Chicken-Mint Roll-ups (recipe included).
