Celebrate the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall at the Newseum with fun-filled activities and events for the entire family.
When: Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009
Time: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Washington artist Tim Conlon will be on hand for a talk-and-draw demonstration of graffiti styles and techniques and discuss how graffiti has been used as a form of protest. Conlon — whose work has been featured in museums and galleries across the country — will also discuss the artists who risked their lives to paint the Berlin Wall during the Cold War.
Other Family Day activities include a Gallery Talk, Front Page Frenzy Game, NewsMania™ trivia and News Hound scavenger hunt all related back to the Berlin Wall. For more information, visit newseum.org.
