From DNA president Mile Groves:
This was a great week for our neighborhood as over 50% of our registered voters went to the polls. We will not know the full participation until the absentee votes and special votes were included, but it was a great day for participation. Last night was a great night as Commissioner Docter (who was elected again to serve as one of our commissioners) was honored by the Downtown Business Improvement District as the Downtown Citizen of the Year.
Our regular November meeting is scheduled for next Tuesday, November 11th. As usual the meeting starts at 6:30PM and will end promptly at 8PM at Calvary Baptist Church. Sandwich fare will be provided at the beginning. We will have PSA 101W officers attending who will be able to update us on 7th Street activity and other public safety concerns of our neighborhood. This is the last regular meeting for 2008 and a key topic of discussion will concern objectives for 2009.
Please join us and bring your ideas. If you have not RSVP’s, please do so we have a sense of how to set up the room and how much food to order.
Thanks for your support,
Miles E. Groves

I won’t be attending tonight. If anyone else has a chance to feel free to email me a recap and I will post it -or- leave a recap in the comments.
