DNA Sponsors ANC Panel
Following the 101W MPD safety report will be a panel discussion composed of Advisory Neighborhood Commissioners who are running for election as Commissioner of a Single Member District that includes part of our Downtown Neighborhood. As of today, five have agreed to serve on our panel. From ANC 2F06, we have Commissioner Mike Bernardo who is running for reelection. From ANC 2C03, we have Jessica Lanza who is running against Commissioner Doris Brooks who has not responded to our invitation. From ANC 6C we have three incumbent commissioners attending. These include Commissioner Charles Docter who has worked and continues to work to increased downtown residential living, Commissioner Mark Dixon, a long time advocate and chair of the Safety Committee, and Commissioner Keith Silver whose SMD includes residential buildings north of Massachusetts Ave and works closely on neighborhood residential concerns.
UPDATE (9/15/2008 11am) – According to an update email from Miles Groves this morning, Doris Brooks (ANC 2C03) has now agreed to participate in the forum.
